Art Character saga: Part 4
Inspired by family members who wished to hang works by Nicklas Hoffmann as decoration – something impossible given their digital nature – these video portraits were created. They aim to capture the charm of a painting or photograph while simultaneously hinting at a narrative, all without the need for an audio track.
The video portraits each depict a recurring character from Nicklas Hoffmann’s Art Character saga – specifically, in the way that character would portray themselves. At times, comments from the unseen cameraman – also a familiar figure from the works – are put on the screen.
