Music videos: Part 1
When a love for ivy inspires such ivy love songs, it must be true love! As the song progresses, the notes climb upwards – just like the ivy itself – and the lyrics become increasingly passionate. The music video consists of clips from the first seven YouTube search results for the term "ivy".
This video work was created for the exhibition IMMERGRÜN, which was on view at the Weytterturm in Straubing from May 4 to June 10, 2018. The exhibition’s theme was ivy. Eine (E)feurige Romanze can be understood as an encyclopedia entry for the plant. The burning passion for ivy suggested by the work primarily serves to mask the fact that the artist had never previously engaged with the plant.
