After <em>Gerald<\/em> was uploaded to YouTube, a business student took to the comments to express outrage at the film\u2019s very existence, musing on whether art ought not to serve an economic purpose instead. This film blindly follows those sentiments, while questioning \u2013 among other things \u2013 the construct of \"modern art.\"<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"translation-block\">Following the success of his work <em>Gerald<\/em>, the artist Nicklas Hoffmann receives a visit from a renowned curator. After his interpretations of the genres of \"socially critical,\" \"abstract,\" \"documentary,\" and \"political\" art fail to meet the curator's expectations \u2013 and just as she is about to take her leave \u2013 he presents her with a commercially oriented art project: balloon cars displaying the exchange rates of the euro and the US dollar.
